Here are just a few cool ways to take your virtual meeting platform (Zoom, GoToMeeting, Teams, etc.) to the next level thanks to tech.
Use these quick tips for virtual selling success
1. Any other name. Forget giving people your random meeting ID – instead, get a custom URL that points straight to your personal meeting room. Maybe something like: buymystuff.com, or something like JulieonZoom.com.
2. Hit record. Unlike in-person sales meetings where it would have been weird to bring in a tape recorder, you’ve got built-in recording to virtual meeting platforms. Use recordings to review, improve and create call summaries for prospects. I promise, they will be impressed! (Merit Kahn, The Smarter Sales Show technique expert, would remind you to phrase your request to record so that it’s a benefit to them.)
3. High five. Master the interactive options on your platform. Even in simple meetings, giving prospects an opportunity to put a star next to their biggest pains would help them feel like you’re working together. My personal favorite is using annotation tools to underline and highlight key areas of a proposal on the screen.
